Buford's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old American forward Perrin Buford (198-F-1994, agency: Pensack Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Al Wahda (#6, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 89-80. Al Riyadi is placed at 2nd position in West Asia Super League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Al Riyadi won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Buford had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Riyadi's top player in his first season with the team. Middle Tennessee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. In the last game Justice recorded an impressive 37 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Al Wahda lost that game 80-89 to league's leader Al Riyadi (#2, 1-0). This loss caused Al Wahda to drop to 6th position in the standings. 1 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Justice is a newcomer at Al Wahda and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 37.0ppg (#1). He also registered 6.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Youssef Khayat (206-F-2003) of Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (#5). Khayat scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Khayat's great performance the Sagesse lost 92-97 to the league's current leader Gorgan (#1, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Khayat as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
